100 Thieves content creator Rachel “Valkyrae” Hofsetter continues her meteoric rise on YouTube as she reached the three million subscribers milestone last week. This also means she has more than doubled her YouTube subscriber count since signing an exclusive contract to stream on the platform just one year ago.
This milestone by the 29-year-old variety streamer comes a month after she was named the 2020 Content Creator of the Year by The Game Awards.Valkyrae gained nearly two million subscribers in just five months since the end of August 2020, according to statistics by Social Blade. In the past month, she has seen an increase in subs by about 10,000 per day.
Her YouTube channel experienced a significant boost when she started playing the online multiplayer social deduction game Among Us and collaborating with popular streamers including Disguised Toast, Corpse Husband, and PewDiePie, among others. She became the fastest growing female streamer of the year and surpassed Pokimane as the most-viewed female streamer of 2020.
From starting out as a GameStop employee to making the switch to full-time streaming back in 2018, she eventually went on to become the first female content creator to be signed to esports and lifestyle organization 100 Thieves.
In January 2020, she signed exclusively with YouTube and has since then been dominating the charts with her Among Us videos. Congratulations to Valkyrae on such an incredible milestone!
