Acend Makes Quick Work of Ballista in 2-0 Series

Following an extremely close match against Ninjas in Pyjamas Friday, Acend swung hard and took a 2-0 win against Ballista. With its win, Acend knocked Ballista out of Valorant Masters and will move on to Stage 2.

Game 1

Game 1 didn’t last long as Acend won in convincing 13-1 fashion. Acend showed a much more coordinated setting compared to Ballista. Off the backs of plays from Santeri “BONECOLD” Sassi and Mehmet “cNed” Yağız İpek, Acend was able to pull off rather quick plays and strike first.

It wasn’t all doom for Ballista, as a sneaky Spike plant drew them a win despite all five players being down, but in the end, a couple of quick flawless rounds from the hands of Acend made the winner very clear.

Game 2

If people thought Game 1 was quick, Game 2 was faster. In rounds one and two, Acend had two flawless victories. However, Ballista was able to make some moves off Kamil “baddyG” Graniczka’s play on Phoenix.

Yet, Acend still had the upper hand. In perhaps the most insane play of the entire series, Vladyslav “Kiles” Shvets set up a triple kill on the enemy squad with some intense mechanics on the Viper as well as a sprung trap.

Ultimately, Acend took a relatively convincing victory against the underdog story in Ballista. Ballista will be eliminated while Acend will go on to face the winners of Guild vs. Alliance.
