After three Challengers events and countless series, teams that will take places in Valorant Champions Tour Europe Stage 1: Masters 1 have been determined. Some favorites fell short and some underdogs have shined, but the top eight teams of Europe are ready to fight on March 12.
The last step of Masters 1, Challengers 3 was the scene of surprising results. Teams that were seen as front runners in the eyes of most fans such as G2 Esports, Fnatic and OG bid farewell to the tournament with disappointing losses. Guild Esports, DfuseTeam, Ballista Esports and Raise Your Edge managed to get through the giants and earned spots in Masters 1. All participants of Masters 1 are:
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
- FunPlus Phoenix
- Team Heretics
- Guild Esports
- Ballista Esports
- Raise Your Edge Gaming
Masters 1 will be the biggest event of the Valorant scene since First Strike. Starting on March 12, the event will last until March 21 and will contain two different groups that consist of four teams each. With the end of the group stage, two top teams of each group will qualify for the playoff. Like Challengers, the playoffs will be a single-elimination bracket in which games will be played as best-of-threes, excluding the grand final which is a best-of-five.
Even though it’s hard to make a prediction for a tournament like this, some teams have higher chances in reaching the crown. Ninjas in Pyjamas, FunPlus Phoenix and First Strike Champion Team Heretics are the front runners. However, the chances of Guild Esports and Alliance can’t be denied. Despite their promising performances in qualifiers, Ballista Esports, Raise Your Edge Gaming and DfuseTeam need more time to be the best team of Europe.
Lucky us, all matches of Masters 1 will be streamed on Twitch. You can follow the tournament from here when the time comes.
