Apex Legends is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch on March 9 and it is about time if you ask me. The company made the announcement on Feb. 2. This new version of the game is said to also include cross-platform play of all the content on the original game. So users will still be able to play with all their friends who may not have the Switch.
Apex Legends originally launched all the way back in 2019 and was developed by well-known studio Respawn. I can only wonder why it took so long for this popular Battle Royale to finally get to the Nintendo Switch. I understand that making the game available for a new console is no easy task, but come on now, it has been years since the game first came out.
Because the game came out a little while after this 8th season of Apex Legends launched, EA had this to say: “Since we’re launching a few weeks after the start of season eight, Switch players will be granted 30 free levels for their season eight battle pass. For the first two weeks after launch, playing on Switch will also earn you double XP.”
This is a nice little surprise for Nintendo Switch players so that they will not be behind when they finally are able to get their hands on the game. The thing that makes the Nintendo Switch so popular is the portable aspect to the device. Users are able to pretty much play their favorite games anywhere with this console, which totally shakes up how video games are usually played.
So, if you are lucky enough to have a Nintendo Switch, make sure you grab Apex Legends and get that 30 free level boost. I know if I had the Switch, that’s what I would be doing.
