Ubisoft’s latest title Assassin’s Creed Valhalla passed its first week with full success. The Action-RPG game became the best-selling game of the franchise so far in first-week sales. The company shared a press release and thanked fans for their incredible support.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was released on November 10th, and since its release, the game has received many positive reviews by fans and the websites. It looks like its good criticism has reflected its sales; after a period of raving fan reviews, Ubisoft put out a statement saying, “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has sold through more units in its first week than any other Assassin’s Creed game sold during the same period.”
Valhalla also became the top-selling Ubisoft PC launch ever and broke the all-time record of Ubisoft Store sales performance. The game’s producer Julien Laeferrére shared his thoughts, saying,
“We are truly delighted by the enthusiastic response from players and want to thank the fans for their incredible support. Delivering this game amid a global pandemic was a true tour de force by our teams and it’s fantastic to see players enjoying the game so much.” He continued, “Launch is only the beginning and we have robust content plans for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that will keep players immersed in their epic Viking saga for a long time to come.”
No sales figures have been given by Ubisoft, but they did publish some in-game statistics achieved by the players. According to the article, players already covered four million kilometers in the game while unlocking over fifty five million buildings since the launch. Besides, over three and a half million games of Orlog have been won. The players also didn’t forget to show their drinking skills: over 1,800,000 of them won at least one drinking game.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is currently available on current-gen consoles, next-gen consoles, Windows PC and Stadia.
