Following B8’s disappointing showings at various tournaments and qualifiers since their formation last January, the team has gone ahead with a total overhaul of their roster, save for Dota legend Dendi. With the DPC 2021 starting on January 18, B8 couldn’t afford to let their tepid performances from the last year affect their first anniversary at the end of this month.
B8 made the announcement on their Twitter.
After Crystallis and Fishman were dropped from the roster, this signing finalizes the dissolution of the previous B8 roster, with the exception of Dendi. B8 absorbed the players from the erstwhile team Midas Club. Although Midas Club is a Brazilian organization, they had been trying to compete in the CIS region. The resulting conflict resulted in an understanding with B8, leading to the roster current roster changes.
Leonardo “RdO” Fernandes, Diego “Sexyfat” Santamaria, and Heitor “Duster” Pereira are all Brazillian Dota 2 professionals who were signed by Havan Liberty, before being acquired by Midas Club. The former CEO and coach of Midas Club, Astini, will be joining forces with Daniil “MeTTpuM” Gilev to coach the new B8 roster.
Even with a bunch of top-of-the-line players, B8’s new roster has a lot to prove in the coming days as they go head to head with around a dozen CIS teams in the qualifiers for a spot in the upcoming DPC 2021 Season 1.
Current B8 Dota 2 roster:
Leonardo “RdO” Fernandes
Danil “Dendi” Ishutin
Diego “Sexyfat” Barini Santamaria
Enis “5up” Elfki
Heitor “Duster” Pereira
