The “Broken Blade to Schalke 04” rumor has been on social media for the past few days. Earlier today, Rogue announced they added Odoamne, an ex-Schalke 04 top laner, to their roster. According to Jacob Wolf, Schalke is going to fill the top lane role with the Turkish player.

Broken Blade had been a member of TSM since 2018. After playing two years in TCL, the 20-year-old player was finally through with the team. In his first split with TSM, he ended up at the second place by losing against Team Liquid 3-2 in LCS 2019 Spring Final. A year later, in LCS 2020 Summer, Broken Blade helped his team earn the crown.

Broken Blade’s first Worlds journey didn’t go as he wanted. TSM finished Worlds 2020 without a win and were subsequently knocked out of the tournament.

With this move, Broken Blade will reunite with his former teammate Felix “Abbedagge” Braun and former manager Mert Tanrıverdi. Felix and Sergen have played together under two different journeys, Galatasaray Espor and Royal Bandits in TCL.

Schalke 04’s current roster:

  • Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik
  • Erberk “Gillus” Demir
  • Felix “Abbedagge” Braun
  • Matúš “Neon” Jakubčík
  • Han “Dreams” Min-kook

Exciting things are yet to come this Free Agency Period. Stay tuned for more League of Legends breaking updates.
