Colin Kaepernick Will Be in Madden NFL 21

For the first time since 2016, Colin Kaepernick will be a playable character in the famous Madden series. This was announced by a statement posted by Madden on their twitter account, as seen below, which states that he is a high-caliber player and deserves to be in the game. Players will also be able to use him in Franchise mode and add him to any team they please.

Kaepernick hasn’t been on an NFL team since 2016, when he knelt during the national anthem to protest the way African Americans and other people of color have been treated in the United States. The NFL ignored his protest for years, even voting to make it a requirement for players to stand for the anthem. The NFL commissioner has since stated that he understands the league’s mistake and that they should have listened sooner.

There is still a LONG way to go for the NFL to make things right with Kaepernick, but in the smallest of ways, this is a good start. Hopefully with him in the game, players who do not know much about him and what he did will learn and understand the sacrifices he has made. When the game comes out, make sure you add this monster plater to your starting roster.
