Dota 2 legend Danil “Dendi” Ishutin’s B8 has yet again dropped players from its roster. B8 announced the departure of their position 1 carry player – Remco “Crystallis” Arets – and their position 5 support player – Dmitriy “Fishman” Polishchuk – on December 7 via Twitter.
Both players joined the organization in June 2020, when the entire B8 roster was shuffled, save “Dendi.” Despite having “Crystallis” – one of the few players to have ever reached 11,000 MMR – B8’s showing throughout the season had been tepid to put it mildly. The team consistently finished between 5th-10th places in tier 2 and tier 3 tournaments, with no showings in tier 1 tournaments. In fact, the team has been completely absent from tournaments since September 2020.
This current roster shift marks 10 players B8 has shuffled through in their attempt to make a dent on the Dota Pro Circuit as one of the newest organizations. The team has no intention of backing out yet, and will be testing the waters again with a fresh pool of players in the 2021 DPC. The 2021 DPC is set to start on January 18, 2021 according to a November post on Valve’s blog.
With the team’s intention to start the new season afresh, it’s likely that more roster changes will take place in the coming weeks but nothing has been confirmed yet. The team’s current roster-strength is 3 players.
Current B8 roster:
Danil “Dendi” Ishutin (captain)
Oleg “LastHero” Demidovich
Enis “5up” Elfki
