Even though it’s the starting day of the VCT Challengers 3’s open qualifier, teams are using this remaining little time to make roster announcements. After nearly a month of trial, Noah “rara” Giesbrecht and Ryan “ryann” Welsh officially became part of the Dignitas Valorant roster.
A month ago, rara and ryann joined Dignitas as trial players. The team participated in Challengers 1 and Challengers 2 with its fresh bloods, but failed in qualifying for the main stages of both tournaments. During the qualifiers, both players secured their spots in the roster with promising performances.
Unlike ryann, rara has been competing in the Valorant scene since the closed beta of the game. In January, he joined T1 Academy for two months. Thanks to his great display against prominent teams, the North American player was picked up by Dignitas as a trial. And now, he became a permanent player on the roster.
Ryann, on the other hand, had some competitive experience in CS:GO. The 20-year-old player began his professional career in 2017 and competed until December of 2020. He focused on Valorant following his retirement from CS:GO, and joined Dignitas in January as a trial, just like rara.
Despite making several roster changes in the past, Dignitas is still hungry for success. The team was established in August of 2020, but was able to participate in only one A-Tier tournament. Currently, Dignitas sits in 14th place in North America’s ranking.
Dignitas’ roster is:
- Rory “dephh” Jackson
- Harrison “psalm” Chang
- Bryan “MAKKA” Drouillard
- Noah “rara” Giesbrecht
- Ryan “ryann” Welsh
