E.S.G Art Series: PRKR, Graphic Designer/Illustrator

Art- the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.

The world of gaming and esports is undoubtedly one of the most influential cultural phenomena in the world today. Its reach spans every corner of the globe and has inspired millions in the form of every medium of content and pop culture, including art. E.S.G. honors this creative expression as we feature a community of talented artists, illustrators, and creatives who have used their vast imaginations to create stunning esports and gaming related art.

In this edition, we look at the work of 19-year-old graphic designer/illustrator PRKR.

PRKR (not to be confused as Parker) has made a name for himself in the community with his dynamic designs, refined illustrations, and meticulous graphics. 19-year-old Prakhar’s work has been recognized from some of the gaming community’s finest, including Dr. Disrespect, KSI, and Jack “CouRage” Dunlop.

Simply put, as mentioned in his twitter bio: “{He} makes cool pictures.”

No lies detected. Feast your eyes below ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

This one has to be one of my all-time favs as I knew before-hand that it was going to be used as a profile picture by Mews, and that’s why I prioritized all the details around the head. The result was very close to my initial idea (which is very good and very rare). This was inspired by Tokyo Ghoul and other Anime art styles. – PRKR

A phenomenal display of cutting-edge designs and undisputed sophistication befitting of the man, FaZe Mew.

If it wasn’t already apparent, I love working with portrait shots. This one really stands out as I was able to create a very good balance of human and cyber elements on Apex’s face. The FaZe logo engraved in his forehead is very visually pleasing to me. – PRKR

An innovative take on the face that runs the place (FaZe Clan), FaZe Apex.

When Myth released photos from this shoot, I already knew I was about to go crazy with them. This one was inspired by J. Cole’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive Album cover. I wanted to create a modern cover art themed piece as it went well with the pose that Myth had. – PRKR

We can just officially recognize PRKR as the Messiah of portrait shots with his ability to capture someone’s personality by using effective lighting, backdrops, and poses. This graphic of TSM’s Myth is yet another display of NXT level ingenuity.

I tend to be very polarizing between red and blue when making color dominant pieces. Creating a perfect blend of Shadows and Highlights is my ultimate goal with every edit and I think I was able to achieve that with this one. – PRKR

Blissful, yet polarizing and commanding; a royal display of shadows and highlights using the likeness of one of the world’s most popular gamers, Ninja.

PRKR’s raw talent and dynamic designs have positioned the young artist smackdown into a V.I.P. lounge of superstar artistic talent—right alongside fellow graphic designers Rad Studios and SAM as the first features in this new series.

When I first joined Instagram in 2017, I saw a few people posting WWE Edits using Photoshop and were getting a bunch of likes. I wanted in on the fun too since I was already a big wrestling fan and had just started to learn Photoshop. So I started posting my edits consistently which looked very bad back then. Even though I wasn’t really able to achieve any significant growth over the course of 3 years on Instagram, my skills developed tremendously. In 2020, I decided to take my skill set over to Twitter and started making artwork for some of my favorite gaming creators. This is where I gained some recognition and got to work with some very big names. So when I look back on my journey, I think the one thing that makes me the most passionate about art is the thought of me working/collaborating with some of the biggest creators out there through my art. That’s like my ultimate goal and am working towards it every day. – PRKR

This one is probably my all-time fav simply because it ended up being Dr. Disrespect’s computer wallpaper when he saw it live on stream in front of 150,000 viewers. It was the first time I gained exposure at such a huge scale. It is inspired by Doc’s theme of 80’s retro wave mixed with my red art style. – PRKR

Perhaps one of the young designer’s greatest creations. The sensational rose red aesthetic and masterful creative take on the iconic Dr. Disrespect’s signature style is simply electrifying. The legend himself reacted to it live on stream:

This composition was done for CourageJD as a potential skin concept for Cyberpunk 2077. Courage and 100 Thieves really liked and it ended up being reposted on both their Instagrams. The reason it’s one of my favs is because the lighting in this scene is exceptional. – PRKR

PRKR has a flair for creating art that captivates the gaming universe, including the top guys in the industry. This creation of 100 Thieves own Jack “CouRage” Dunlop was well-received by him and the prolific esports organization.

The reason why I consider this one of my best artworks is because it is very deceiving to the viewer as they think it is a 3D render made using a 3D Software. However, this was made entirely in 2D space using Photoshop. – PRKR

A souped-up Fall Guys skin which showcases the diverse skill set from the talented artist.

What you’ve seen here is just a small sample size of seven of PRKR’s most riveting designs. With a stacked roster of many more amazing illustrations, he has already proven to be one of the “chosen ones” to galvanize the masses with designs for years to come. And that’s the bottom line…
