The beans are back! The ever-popular summer title Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout recently announced their third season, titled “Fall Guys: Winter Knockout,” or, as the developers would like it to be known, “Fall Guys go brrr.”
The new season, scheduled to launch December 7, was announced November 25 on Fall Guys’ official Twitter account, and confirmed by Mediatonic. This news comes just one month after the October release of Season 2, which itself was only three months after the game’s original release in August.
The tweet is also what revealed the developers’ preferred name for the Season 3, “Fall Guys goes brrr,” and they have been quick to call out news sites who don’t refer to it in that manner.
If there seems something different about this announcement, it’s because there is. While Season 2 was announced during Opening Night Live, Season 3 took a different approach. The developers sent 300 puzzle pieces to 300 unique twitter users — all of whom followed Fall Guys— who were then tasked to solve said puzzle. The lucky fans hopped on twitter and discord to collectively solve it and claim their prize: the reveal of Season 3.
Fans seem hopeful for the new addition, garnering excitement for the new costumes and what the potential new games will be. While Season 2 also created hype upon its announcement, it only contained four new maps. There is much speculation about what Season 3 will bring, and fans may get a glimpse earlier than expected, since Geoff Keighley teased that Season 3 will be shown at The Game Awards. Until then, fans will have to wait for updates as they are revealed.
Fall Guys is currently available on Steam, and is currently 20 percent off to buy on the Playstation store. The sale will end November 30.
