Fall Guys developer Mediatonic has officially given a first look of the game’s upcoming third season. Announced live on The Game Awards, the season will be centered around a theme of Fall Guys: Winter Knockout and will go live on December 15.
Despite Fall Guys players already knowing the theme thanks to some fan detective work, the announcement was still hyped up. After Mediatonic sent out digital jigsaw pieces to 300 players, the community was quick to solve the puzzle, figuring out the Winter Knockout theme in under a day.
Playing to the holiday classic “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” the announcement showcased some of the festive skins coming to Season 3. Players will be able to play as a penguin in a bow tie, a nutcracker, walrus, narwhale, reindeer, abominable snowman and more.
Season 3 will go live for Fall Guys players on December 15. Just like in previous seasons, there will likely be a double game points period to get players excited and hyped up for the new season.
Fall Guys was nominated for a total of four different awards; Best Indie, Best Community Support, Best Family and Best Multiplayer. At the time of the announcement, the game had already won the Best Community Support Award.
The Fall Guys announcement was just one of many exciting reveals during 2020’s Game Awards. Despite looking noticeably different than previous years, the show still featured that Geoff Keighley charm that fans know and love, as well as appearances from various celebrities and community figures, such as Brie Larson, Reggie and Gal Gadot.
