The king has arrived.
FaZe clan signed Andrej “Babybay” Francisty as the newest addition to its Valorant team. The 22-time esports champions made an official Twitter announcement on Aug. 4 welcoming the newest edition to the FaZe fam.
The self-proclaimed “fragger extraordinaire” announced his retirement from the Overwatch League on July 17 after a three-year reign. Shortly afterwards, he was frequently seen streaming Valorant sessions on his Twitch channel in what was to some a telling sign of the 25- year-old’s future endeavors.
King Babybay cemented his name in the OWL as a star DPS player and one of the best flick shots in the league. His signature heroes were Widowmaker, McCree, Hanzo, and Ashe.
Babybay was regarded as one of the most marketable players in the OWL with a signature combination of charisma and talent. Stylish from head to toe, his style is glaring even while picking off his enemies, donning Gucci shoes, Versace watches, and jewelry with a confidence that matches his play. Babybay brings a swag and personality that makes him a perfect fit for an organization with such a strong social influence as the FaZe Clan. He also brings four years of professional experience, most recently in the Overwatch League as a member of the Atlanta Reign. He’s also a former professional Crossfire and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player.
He joins fellow former Overwatch League players Corey “Corey” Nigra, Zachary “ZachaREEE” Lombardo and fellow new clansmen Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty, along with Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen in FaZe’s starting five.
FaZe’s new roster made its debut on Aug. 7 at the FaZe Clan Invitational, an Ignition Series event in partnership with Valorant game developer Riot Games.
