Call of Duty League’s starting date was revealed a couple of days ago. Other than the starting date, Activision also announced the Kickoff Classic event. The Kickoff Classic event will be special as it is the first-year anniversary for the organization.
A lot of exciting matches are ahead, headlined by OpTic Gaming’s first match after the acquisition of Chicago Huntsmen against the new face the Los Angeles Thieves. Remember, these are supposed to be show matches but we may witness a high-level competition.
The Call of Duty League decided to divide all three matches equally. On the first day of the event, Dallas Empire will face New York Subliners, the Los Angeles Guerillas and the Seattle Surge will be the second matchup, and Atlanta FaZe and Florida Mutineers will close the first day.
The second day of the event will start with the London Royal Ravens-Paris Legion match. Following the first game, Toronto Ultra and Minnesota ROKKR will be up, followed by OpTic Gaming and LA Thieves to close the event.
To be honest, both days look exciting. The division between teams is pretty accurate. Since it is expected to be a low-pressure event, teams started trash talking and greeting others on Twitter. Apart from the show matches, the league officials will also inform us about the details for the upcoming season.
Fasten your seatbelts for Jan. 23-24.
