Here Are The Demacia Cup Details And Rosters

Just like the KeSPA Cup for Korean fans, the Demacia Cup is the most exciting offseason event for the Chinese fans who cheer for the LPL. This offseason has been huge and some teams made some unreal moves, including FPX Nuguri, EDward Gaming Viper and many more. If the Demacia Cup wasn’t a thing, we had to wait for the season opener games to enjoy the competition that these new signings will create. Thanks to Riot Games and LPL, we don’t have to wait till then. Here are the rosters and the details about the Demacia Cup!

Details

The Demacia Cup starts on Dec. 21 with the participation of 24 teams. Seventeen out of 24 teams will be the usual LPL teams. On the other hand, three independent LDL teams and four amateur teams, which consist of the Champion of China Streamer Cup 2020, Champion of TGA 2020, Champion of China Collegiate 2020 and an Academy Camp team. These young talents will be there to challenge the best players in the scene. 20 teams are drawn into four different groups and there are five teams per group. All matches are best-of-one and the first of each group will advance to the bracket stage. Four Worlds participants will skip the group phase and start the tournament from the bracket stage. During the bracket stage, the format will be single elimination and the matches will be best-of-five.
