Is Warzone’s New Night Mode Dark Enough?

I have been beyond excited for nightfall mode to finally drop in Warzone. But now that it is here, I have to admit, I am a little underwhelmed. When I first heard about a night mode, I imagined a pitch-black map in which players have to wear night-vision goggles in order to see. This is a feature that has been added to a couple of game modes in the past and the result makes for an extremely hard, extremely different type of game play.

This is not what Warzone night mode is in the slightest. The map is darker for sure, but the darkness seems like more of a dusk than an actual pitch-black type of darkness. This results in a very small change to overall actual game play. The darkness in my opinion only makes the gameplay more annoying than fun, but that could just be me being an old fart.

The main change to gameplay that has been created because of this mode is simply that snipers without thermal scopes are pretty much impossible to use. Besides that, the game is pretty much the same.

Along with this, the night mode can only be played in teams. I do not understand why this is the case. There seems to be no difference in having single-player versus having three or four players on a team. This has caused me to not want to play the new mode as much because, most of the time I want to play, I don’t have a team at my disposal to play with. This is a large part of why I played around five games when the mode first came out and have not touched it since.

So, what do you guys think, are you all enjoying the new mode? Am I just being lame? Let me know in the comments.
