League of Legends Patch 10.23: What are “Mythic Items?”

We’re heading into a new League of Legends season, and once again, Riot Games is willing to alter nearly everything that we know. The Preseason 2021 patch 10.23 features plenty of additions, so much so that reading the notesolm gives me a headache. But don’t worry, we’re going to examine every change one by one to make everything easier to follow. Let’s start with “Mythic Items.”

What are Mythic Items?

Mythic Items are the brand-new highest-tier item set which grant special effects and provide extra stats for Legendary items. They’re unique, so you can only own one of them at a time. This means selecting a Mythic Item depends on the playstyle you want to play for a whole game. These fresh items will be the first choices of builds; therefore, players should analyze their rivals in early game in order to decide their gameplay style.

Mythic Items

  • Total Cost: 3400 Gold
  • Build: Noonquiver + Cloak of Agility + Pickaxe + 625 gold
  • Attack Damage: 55
  • Attack Speed: 20%
  • Critical Strike Chance: 20%
  • Mythic Effect: Grants all other Legendary items 3% movement speed

Galeforce’s active skill grants you a dash to target location that fires three missiles at the lowest health enemy near the character. This one is crucial for nonmobile champions, especially the AD carries. Having great base stats alongside a dash skill, there is a high chance to see Galeforce in lots of ADC’s item builds.

  • Total Cost: 3400 Gold
  • Build: Noonquiver + Cloak of Agility + Pickaxe + 625 gold
  • Attack Damage: 60
  • Attack Speed: 25%
  • Critical Strike Chance: 20%
  • Mythic Effect: Grants all other Legendary items 10% attack speed

In the past few seasons, tanks were more powerful than AD carries or they needed fewer items to feel stronger. Players can now stabilize the state with Kraken Slayer. Its passive deals an additional true damage in every third basic attack. If the opponent has tanks everywhere, this one will solve the problem.

  • Total Cost: 3400 Gold

  • Attack Damage: 50
  • Attack Speed: 15%
  • Critical Strike Chance: 20%
  • Life Steal 12%
  • Mythic Effect: Grants all other Legendary items 5 attack damage and 50 health

Carries are always the first focus in teamfights, and it was a difficult mission to escape from that attention. However, Immortal Shieldbow makes it easier by giving a shield if the champion takes damage that reduces their health below 30% alongside additional 15% life steal for 8 second.

Sunfire was among the most popular tank items last season, and it looks like that won’t change in 2021. The Immolate damage is still valid for Sunfire Aegis, but now it can be stacked. At maximum Immolate stacks, the basic attacks burn nearby enemies.
