Yesterday was a sad day for Brazillian CS:GO fans who are the most enthusiastic community in the scene. Their lovely team, MIBR, announced that it parted ways with three players from the active roster and decided to rebuild until February. Leonardo “leo_drk” de Oliveira, Vinicius “v$m” Moreira and Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles have come to the end of their journey in MIBR.
The announcement has been made through the team’s official Twitter account with a statement. “It was an incredible challenge and you conquered it with a lot of passion and dedication,” MIBR said. “We are really proud of what you showed at the end of the season and how well you carried the feeling of being MIBR.”
In the beginning of September, MIBR benched three of its stars in fer, TACO and FalleN, and added v$m and leo_drk to the roster as loans along with LUCAS1 in October. Since then, the squad has participated in three different tournaments, and each of them was A-tier or higher.
At the last tournament of the season, MIBR showed great performance in Flashpoint 2. Finishing the event in fourth place, the team managed to grab victory against strong opponents like OG and Mad Lions. However, it failed in lower-bracket round 3 and got eliminated from Flashpoint 2.
“We’d like to stay together, we did our best, but unfortunately it won’t be possible this time,” MIBR said in the statement. “Thank you and we wish you good luck. We’re looking for a new coach that will be responsible for our team’s rebuilding that will play again in February.”
There are only two players left in MIBR’s roster, Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe and Alencar “trk” Rossato. It’s still unknown if the organization will make additions upon these players or rebuild the squad completely.
