New York Subliners Eliminate LAG, Advance To Elimination Round 5

The New York Subliners had many difficulties prior to the season but their improvement has been on point. Even though they couldn’t compete with the roster they wanted to, the New York Subliners are still winning games with Clayster’s leadership.

Game 1 – Hardpoint

The New York Subliners had a strong start with the rookie Diamondcon’s incredible performance. The Los Angeles Guerillas didn’t give up until the middle stages of the map, but in the end, the New York Subliners were the ones who reached 250 points. Diamondcon got 31 and Clayster secured 29 kills to support his rookie teammate. LAG’s star, Vivid, contributed with 30 kills but failed to get enough support from others.

Game 2 – Search and Destroy

SnD started head-to-head with back-and-forth rounds going over to both teams. The Los Angeles Guerillas made the difference by winning consecutive rounds which eventually guaranteed the win as they won the ninth round. This time Assault was the one under the spotlight with 11 kills. Despite his first map performance, Vivid was a little insufficient in terms of performance.

Game 3 – Control

The third map was fully one-sided as the Subliners won all three rounds without dropping any. Clayster helped his team with 31 kills and Asim joined him with 29. The Los Angeles Guerillas’ Control performance has always been a problem, but today, the tactical gap between two teams was huge; the Subliners didn’t flinch at all.

Game 4 – Hardpoint

Just like the first one, the second Hardpoint was also pretty close. The New York Subliners managed to beat the Los Angeles Guerillas in its opponent’s strongest mode. The score was 250-227 when the referee blew the full-time whistle. Clayster stepped up by securing 25 kills and 3,010 points. The Subliners’ leader was joined by Mack who had 29 kills in the end. Although Mack had higher kills on the scoreboard, Clayster’s tactical knowledge was the main point why the Subliners advanced in the tournament.

The Subliners will face Los Angeles Thieves-OpTic Chicago matchup’s winner in the upper bracket, while the Los Angeles Guerillas have been eliminated. Whoever wins the LR5 match will play a so-called “Semifinal” with the team who loses the upper bracket game (Dallas Empire-Atlanta FaZe).
