New York Subliners Sign Asim, Bench HyDra Due To Visa Issues

The Subliners made quick moves after ZooMaa’s retirement plan and recruited new players for the upcoming Call of Duty League season. ZooMaa’s retirement decision was expected by the organization as back-to-back announcements were made. At first, Diamondcon got promoted to the main roster, and lastly, Asim joined the team.

The Canadian SMG slayer has been active in the professional scene since 2018. Asim started his career with FaZe Clan Black, a.k.a FaZe Academy, and after four months he joined the actual FaZe Clan roster, where he competed among ZooMaa, Cellium, Skrapz and Zer0. With the foundation of the CDL, he signed a contract with Minnesota ROKKR before ending up on New York.

New York Subliners Roster

  • Mack
  • Clayster
  • Diamondcon
  • Asim
  • HyDra (Sub)

The New York Subliners will compete in the 2021 Call of Duty League season with the roster above. According to Clayster, HyDra failed to get his visa due to the current situation all around the world and that is the reason he was benched. HyDra’s visa application is taking longer than expected so it is still not clear if we will join his team in the upcoming days or not.

Asim is a decent pick up for the Subliners. The Kickoff Classic tournament didn’t look good but it was just a show match and keep in mind, they competed against the latest champion, Dallas Empire. After more scrims, the Subliners will eventually find their tempo.
