According to rumors, there will not be a new Assassin’s Creed game throughout all of 2021. This comes as a low blow for fans of the series, as the latest game was a huge hit. There is an upside though: the previous game will come out on the newest consoles with updated graphics and features, giving players a whole new experience.
This year Ubisoft will be focusing on adding two DLCs to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which will be coming out throughout 2021. This gives fans of the series a chance to get their fix of assassin fun as they wait for the new game to come out sometime in 2022.
There is very little information on when next year the new game in the series will be released, but we do know that it will come out at some point. The game will be developed by a Bulgarian studio called Ubisoft Sofia.
I am thinking 2021 might be a slow year for video games as studios might do the same thing as Ubisoft and, instead of releasing a full game in 2021, just release some DLCs for the previous game and focus on getting a full game out in 2022.
I am hoping I am wrong and 2021 turns out to be a fantastic year for the video game world as a whole. But I suppose we will just have to wait and see.
