The first official statement has been made by Riot Games about the allegations on Sentinel’s VALORANT player Sinatraa. According to the statement made on the VCT NA account, Riot Games has launched an investigation into Jay “Sinatraa” Won, and has suspending him throughout its duration.
On March 10, Sinatraa’s ex-girlfriend Cleo “cle0h” Hernandez shared a 9-page shocking document on Twitter, which claimed how she’s been sexually and emotionally assaulted by Jay throughout her relationship with him.
Sinatraa himself has yet to make any official statement, but very recently, Riot Games broke any silence. “We are aware of the current situation regarding Jay Won (Sinatraa) and have launched an investigation.” Alex Francois, Head of Competitive Operations of VALORANT said. “Per our existing competitive rules and investigative process, a decision has been made to suspend Won throughout the investigation and therefore he will not be able to compete this weekend.”
With the latest announcement by Riot, Sinatraa won’t be able to attend VALORANT Champions Tour North America: Stage 1: Masters 1 which will start on March 11.
Sentinels also made its first announcement about the situation. The organization stated they are aware of the current situation, and has suspended Sinatraa from the team pending the investigation. Sentinels also added they will provide a further update once the investigation has ended.
