Star Wars: Battlefront 2 actors recently confirmed they were doing another round of mo-caps and voice acting, but won’t tell us what the mysterious project is.
T.J Ramini, Janina Gavankar, and Anthony Skordi all posted last November they were working on a soon-to-be-announced project and teased their fans with pictures of them in the photo-booth, even holding mo-cap suits. Seeing all three of the Inferno Squad actors working on the same project raises some eyebrows as to whether this could be a new Battlefront 3 game.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 recently became free on the Epic Store, which I can’t help but feel hints at the arrival of another installment. What’s more, Ubisoft recently announced a Star Wars game helmed by Massive Entertainment, which is responsible for games like the Division. EA was supposed to have been in contract with Disney until 2023, so a Battlefront 3 title could have already been well in the works.
LucasFilmGames stated they were wanting to revitalize their brand, and continuing with EA, even for just a few years, might have been too much for them.
There’s a chance that, like the original games, the modern-day Battlefront won’t get a third installment. However, there were multiple spin-off games like Star War Battlefront: Elite Squadron that the Inferno Squad could revamp, even though they were mainly for hand-helds.
Knowing that all three Inferno Squad voice-actors were in the same studio in the same timeframe only leads us to believe that EA is getting ready to release another Star Wars title, and with the end of a contract creeping up, it could be their last.
