Stuck in your PJs? Play These 5 Games

Days where you’re in your pj’s all day long are the best. Nothing to do, nowhere to go, just a couple hours spent in ultimate relaxation with the comfiest clothes you own. Gaming can be the perfect activity to mix into a pj day; what better way to chill than with a lazy day game? The next time you plan a full day of relaxation, any of these five games will be the perfect way to max out your comfort time.

Disclosure: As I wrote this, I was wearing my favorite pajamas, and let me tell you, it doesn’t get much better than this.

PJs

Number 5

Coming in at number five is FlowScape from Pixel Forest Games. FlowScape isn’t your typical game: the entire premise has you creating and designing your own world, with your own exact specifications. There are no rules or expectations, it’s just an open space to let your imagination wander and see what you can build. It’s the kind of game you could easily get sucked into playing for hours without even realizing it. Basically, it’s a perfect game for a lazy weekend day when you want to be creative but don’t want to have to get out of bed.

Number 4

In fourth place is Animal Crossing: New Horizonsfrom Nintendo. I don’t know exactly what can be said about AC:NH that hasn’t already been said, but if you somehow haven’t played this game yet, now’s the perfect time to start. This latest addition to the Animal Crossing series of games is relaxing, fun, and perfectly suited to a pj day. I have the digital version on my Switch, and I keep my Switch on my bedside table, so if I wake up on a Sunday morning and don’t want to get up quite yet, I can ease my way into the day by playing on my own personal island.

Number 3

In third place is Coffee Talk from Toge Productions. This caffeine-fueled dreamy game has you playing as a barista serving a variety of customers in a cozy coffee shop. The delightful twist of the game is that the characters range from humans to vampires, werewolves, and other mythical creatures, all living and existing peacefully in an urban environment. This game is everything you could want from a magical coffee adventure, and it pairs perfectly with a day spent cuddled up in pajamas, sipping on a cup (or two or three) of your favorite coffee.

Number 2

Coming in at second place is Night in the Woodsfrom Infinite Fall. This charming game of adventure and social exploration is both intriguing and so incredibly calming. It deals with some fairly heavy topics at times, but the design and overall themes keep it firmly well-suited to a day spent curled up in your favorite pj’s, perhaps wrapped up in a cozy blanket as well. If you haven’t explored Night in the Woods yet, you’re in for a treat. If you’ve played it already, you know exactly what I mean.

Number 1

And claiming the number one spot is Untitled Goose Game from House House. This game is utterly ridiculous and one of the most delightful games ever made. Who would’ve guessed that running around as a goose, terrorizing a small village and completing silly tasks would be so remarkable? This game is a perfect example of something simple yet incredible. It’s perfect for any time and any day, but especially for a relaxing pj day.
