Team Liquid Proves The Might of North America In Win vs MAD Lions

In another rendition of North America vs Europe, our Stropse Match of the Day went to Team Liquid vs MAD Lions.

Looking at the rosters, it was a battle of the rookies versus the veterans. On MAD Lions, their first match versus INTZ was a bit shaky, especially from Jungler Zhiqiang “Shad0w” Zhao. On the other side, there are two World Champions in Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong and Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in, a world finalist in Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pederson, and one in Semifinalist Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen.

The star of the day however was Edward “Tactical” Ra. His first kill on an international stage against the MAD Lions bot lane proved that Tactical and CoreJJ are some of the most formidable bot lanes.

Credit this game also has to go to Impact. Many fans saw a glimpse of the Top Die Impact that was once known from his days on Cloud9.

Throughout the game, it was a back and forth between the players, especially spotlighting Marek “Humanoid” Brázda, who was able to help the Lions claw small victories over Team Liquid.

After a back and forth in the midgame, it was a Rakan ultimate from CoreJJ and Tactical’s Spray and Pray that sealed the deal and locked TL’s first win in the Play-Ins.

TL will be riding the victory train in their match against OPL’s Legacy while MAD will look to take down Supermassive tomorrow.
