After Adam “ec1s” Eccles was benched by the organization, the fans and the community were expecting an announcement for the fifth player of Team Liquid. Not long after the change, the team just revealed the player on its Twitter. Former ENCE CS:GO player Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen joined Liquid.
The new member of the roster didn’t surprise anybody as the alteration has been bouncing around the scene for a while. But now, it’s official and a promising pick up for Team Liquid.
The 19-year-old player is familiar to many CS:GO fans as he started his professional career in Rehti.js. However, the young star’s reputation has built up with SJ Gaming. In April of 2020, Jamppi joined one of the prominent CS:GO teams, ENCE, and continued to shine in the scene. On the other hand, being VAC-banned by Valve prevented him from playing any CS:GO premier events.
With this in mind, the Finnish player announced his transition into Valorant with a statement video last month. Despite playing Valorant for a quite short time, Jamppi proved his talent in the new game as well.
“I hope I can bring this team up to the new level and I think it’s going to be pretty effective.” the player said. According to the video clip, Jamppi is going to be the Jett player of Liquid and take the operator role in the team. Recently, the star of the roster, ScreaM, was playing as Jett.
Team Liquid VALORANT roster is now:
- Dom “soulcas” Sulcas
- James “Kryptix” Affleck
- Travis “L1NK” Mendoza
- Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom
- Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen
- Connor “Sliggy” Blomfield
