Glitches are just a part of the gaming world: there is nothing you can really do about it. That being said, there are some which are way worse than others. Let me take you through some of the very worst-of-the-worst glitches which have been in video games.
At No. 5, we have Arkham Asylum. This game was dope and a great start to what would become an incredible video game series. Although this was the case, the game had a pretty big glitch that would randomly freeze the game and delete the whole file and all the hard work players had made. The worst part is that it could happen at any time in the game. I actually remember this glitch happening to me when I first played this game, and I was understandably pissed.
At No. 4 is Modern Warfare 3. This is one of my favorite games of all time, but boy did it have some glitches. The glitch that really pissed me off was the headless glitch where, if a flag carrier killed someone on the other team, they would respawn with no head. This by itself is not too bad of a glitch, but to make matters worse, any player who saw the headless person would be kicked from the game. Pretty spooky, huh?
At No. 3 is Fallout: New Vegas. The campaign of this game is so good that it made it even more upsetting when the moments after finishing the campaign and exploring the world were so glitchy. It was almost impossible to even play. This puts a huge bummer on an otherwise-great game.
At No. 2 is Saints Row 2. The glitch featured here, which is called “The Freezer” glitch, not only made players lose all their progress in the game, but a lot of the time, it literally destroyed the game disk and made it unplayable. The glitch would happen when players were playing Zombie Uprising and a mysterious figure would pop up. When this figure popped up, you knew that something bad was about to happen.
At No. 1 is the Playstation Holiday Demo disk. This demo disk was released in 2004 and had some sneak-peeks at upcoming games. When players got far enough in the games, the disk would freeze and corrupt the player’s whole memory card. Not only would the games they were playing on the disk get deleted, but also other games they had played before. It was a mess.
These are the top 5 worst video game glitches of all time. Maybe now Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t look so bad.
