I really hate it when developers release only part of a game and then continue working on another. This was the case for the newest Watch Dogs game; the campaign came out back in October, but fans are still waiting on the highly anticipated multiplayer.
The multiplayer game mode was supposed to come out December 3rd, but through a new patch to the game, Ubisoft updated fans that it has been pushed back until early 2021. A statement from Ubisoft explained the situation further: “As part of our commitment to fixing the game’s issues, we’ve decided to delay the Online mode of Watch Dogs: Legion to early 2021. This will allow us to focus on fixing issues with single player, and it will give us more time to test the Online experience to help ensure a smooth launch of the mode.”
Although the multiplayer may be delayed, Ubisoft is still committed to making sure what they have released of the game is in tip-top shape. Technical and bug fixes were added to the single player to make it run better. This comes as good news to players, as the campaign had a lot of glitches. Some were just plain funny, but some were pretty annoying to the point of being game-breaking.
I personally have no plans to play or even buy this game unless it goes on sale, but to the fans who already got the game and are waiting for the multiplayer to release, this is a pretty big blow. Keep waiting my friends, my heart goes out to all of you.
