Gaming sensation and Game Award winner Among Us is now available on the Nintendo Switch. The announcement comes as Nintendo shows off their Indie World Showcase for 2021 where the megahit was announced to be arriving.

Indie World is a spotlight from Nintendo announcing popular indie game brands to the Switch Console. Among those games announced aside from Among Us includes Spelunky 2, Calico and Super Meat Boy. Many more titles will be announced for the Switch coming in 2021.

According to the Indie World team “Among Us launches on Nintendo Switch later today featuring cross-platform play!” This allows players on PC and apps to interact with Switch players: a feature heavily important to the foundation of the game.

Among Us is the pop-sensation sweeping the nation across the country. A “who-dun-it” game, you play as a crewmember of an intergalactic crew trying to fix issues aboard a space station while trying to determine who among the crewmate is an imposter. Meanwhile, imposters try to kill as many people as possible while sabotaging the crew.

Though initially released in 2018, Among Us has become viral this year with many high profile names, from Youtube stars like Jacksepticeye to politicians like Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D – NY) playing and streaming the title.

InnerSloth and Among Us picked up two Game Awards on Sunday night including Best Mobile Game and Best Multiplayer Game. With the addition of the Switch title, more players will get to experience the pop phenomenon.
